Quala’s Tampa Team celebrates Earth Day by participating in a local beach clean-up

TAMPA, Fla., April 27, 2019 – The Quala Team celebrates Earth Day (April 22) by participating in a local beach clean-up. Employees gather Saturday Morning at Cypress Point Park to gather trash and debris accumulated along the coast of Tampa Bay. Partnering with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful (a Keep America Beautiful Affiliate), Quala’s Volunteers filled their trash bags, removing harmful debris that had washed up along the beach. By removing these items, our team is able to reduce the risk of contamination and accidental ingestion by the animals that inhabit this beautiful park.

Michelle Manteiga, Quala’s Payroll & Benefits Manager, and event organizer stated, “Not only are we helping the community by picking up trash and debris on our beautiful beaches, but we are also making our community a cleaner place to live!” 

“This outing is the first of many community-building activities that Quala will be participating in throughout the year,” added Paul Woodbury, Vice President of Human Resources, “Being ‘A Cleaner Company’ means making sure that we are investing in the communities that support our business. The event, located at Cypress Point Park, 5620 West Cypress Street, Tampa FL 33607, is just minutes from the Corporate office in Tampa and is frequented by locals.
